Happy Monday Beautiful! It’s Celina here, I want to congratulate you on making it to week 3 of the July challenge!

We are halfway through July, so I wanted to focus more on our inner selves this week. If you haven’t read last week’s issue, I discussed the meaning of Ikigai and the importance of finding what makes you happy.

Having a strong sense of Ikigai- where…what you love, what you’re good at, what you can get paid for, and what the world needs all overlap.

I hope that through last week’s challenges, you were able to find your Ikigai. That said, this week I want us to dive deep inside ourselves and evaluate if the steps we’re taking to achieve our 2024 goals are actionable and in line with our Ikigai.

💗 Before launching into the week, take a moment, and tell yourself you’re proud of yourself for taking the time to better yourself. It takes a lot of courage to realize you want to become better for YOU, and it takes a certain amount of love to put in the work to DO better, for yourself.

🥭 The 3 main things you will achieve by the end of the month are…

  1. Being a part of the BGF family, a community where like-minded women support each other to become the best versions of ourselves this month

  2. You will deepen your connection with your inner self. Through regular self-reflection, journaling, and mindfulness practices, you will become more in tune with your thoughts, emotions, and desires. This inner connection will empower you to make decisions that align with your true purpose and values.

  3. You will have a concrete, actionable plan for your goals. Breaking down your larger aspirations into smaller, manageable tasks will make them more achievable. You will set specific milestones and deadlines, ensuring you stay on track and motivated throughout your journey

Week 3 Challenges- July 15-21

👟 Move:

  • Incorporate 30 minutes of a different type of physical activity each day (e.g., yoga, walking, dancing, or a home workout). Continue listening to a podcast of your choice while on walks.

  • 5 minutes of stretching either in the morning or evening to relax your body

 Mind:

  • 1st Priority: Reflect on your Ikigai statement from last week. Identify any areas where you can refine or expand your understanding.

  • 2nd Priority: Create a weekly planner. At the start of the week, outline your key tasks and goals for each day. Adjust your Google Calendar to include these new commitments. Try to schedule at least 30 min a day to work towards your 2024 goals.

  • 3rd Priority: Practice mindfulness. Allocate 10 minutes each day to meditate or practice deep breathing exercises. Use apps like Headspace or Calm if needed.

  • Daily priority: Continue 5 minutes of journaling every morning and evening.

    • Morning journal prompts: 

      • How do I want to feel today?

      • 3 things I am grateful for today?

      • What is one goal I want to accomplish today?

      • What steps am I going to take to achieve those goals?

      • 3 positive affirmations

    • Evening journal prompts: 

      • How am I?

      • Did I accomplish my goal for today, if so how did it make me feel?

      • If I didn’t, what can I do differently tomorrow to accomplish it?

      • 3 things I am grateful for today?

      • 1 lesson I learned from today and how can I improve tomorrow?

🧘🏽‍♀️ Rest:

  • Daily priority: 7-8 hours of sleep every night

  • Skincare: Take 1 night this week to relax and do a face mask or oil your hair, watch your favorite show/movie, or read a book of your choice when doing so. Take this time to just be off your phone and in the moment with what you’re doing. 

💙 Social:

  • Make time for meaningful activities with loved ones at least 1x this week, either in person or virtually. It could be something as simple as a coffee chat, virtual dinner date, etc.

  • Perform a random act of kindness each day. It could be sending a thoughtful message, helping a neighbor, or donating to a cause you care about.
